“Loving Daughter, Sister, and Granddaughter”
On January 16, 2021, Daniela Katherine Paternostro, a beautiful bright light, entered into God’s care, being taken away from us too soon after 20 years on this earth. Daniela battled excruciating mental health episodes, and fought as hard as she could with her addiction.
Growing up in Watertown, Daniela was a graduate of Watertown High School and worked at Fino Wood Fired Pizza. From a young age, Daniela enjoyed gymnastics, karate, cheerleading, numerous activities of the performing arts and was a talented singer and artist. At just five years of age, she was crowned, “Little Miss Watertown”, and at the age of six, one of Daniela’s greatest accomplishments was winning the CT Talent Competition; later being invited to perform in the Miss Connecticut Gala.
All who knew Daniela could attest that she was not only extremely kind, but also had a compassionate spirit. Always thinking of others, Daniela was always there to listen to anyone and she truly cared about their feelings. Her beautiful voice and acting skills from a young age amazed everyone. Anyone who had the opportunity to meet Daniela was mesmerized by her beautiful eyes, and was able to appreciate her passion for fashion.
Daniela was very appreciative of all of her family and friends who stood by her side during her struggles and supported her during the past few years. She appreciated everyone’s efforts.
This fundraiser will help the grieving family offset the costs of the unexpected funeral expenses. All funds go directly to Daniela's loving parents who send their heartfelt appreciation for your kindness, generosity, and compassion during this difficult time.

Daniela leaves behind to cherish her memory her beloved parents, Patrick Paternostro and Gina (DiFronzo) Paternostro, both of Watertown, her two loving brothers, Jason and Matthew Paternostro, her Nonna, Josephine DiFronzo, Grandma Joan Paternostro, her aunts, Sandra Barnosky and her husband Brian, Linda Paternostro, Christina Smith, her cousins, Ryan and Brandon Barnosky, Erica Russo, Nicholas Smith, as well as many loving and caring friends. She was predeceased by her paternal grandparents, Pasquale and Katherine Paternostro, and her maternal grandfather, Orlando DiFronzo.
Arrangements: A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, January 25, 2021, 10:00 A.M. at the Basilica of the Immaculate Conception, Waterbury. Everyone is kindly asked to meet directly at the church. Burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Watertown.
