Daniel Hanson Hometown Hero Fund

We are having a fundraiser for a local Marine, Daniel Hanson USMA (Ret), who served our country with 3 tours of Iraq and 1 in Afghanistan.
He was injured (his back and spine) while serving and also suffers from PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder.) Because of his injuries and the pain, Daniel has been unable to work. While the VA has been helping him with his PTSD, they have done very little to help heal his back injury giving him the ability to work and provide for his wife and 2 children.
Platinum Real Estate is having this fundraiser to help get Daniel the treatment and rehab he needs so he can get back to work, and as he states, "feel like a productive member of society." I have spent time with Daniel and his family and their need is real. His wife Emily is now going school to become a nurse to help provide for their family. The government's treatment (or lack of) for this American Hero is a sad reflection of the government's poor of care for our veterans.
A private screening fundraiser of American Sniper (the Warner Bros. Pictures film starring Bradley Cooper and Sienna Miller) will be held on:
Monday January 19th, 2015 at the 6:30pm showing.
