Danielle Ballard Memorial Fund

A shining star, Danielle Ballard, a former athlete from Memphis, TN, lost her life on Thursday, July 13, 2023.

Off the court, Danielle was most known for her vibrant personality, giving heart, and ability to bring joy to others.

On the court, beginning in Hollywood (a neighborhood in North Memphis, TN), Danielle began to be known for her amazing abilities on the basketball court. She led her teams to numerous state titles, playing at Snowden School, Central High School, Team Memphis Elite, and LSU.

Her career at LSU was marked by several honors, including being named to the SEC All-Freshman Team in 2013, and 2014-15 All-SEC First Team by coaches and All-SEC Second Team by the Associated Press. Also being named to the coaches' All-SEC Defensive Team and LSU's 2014-15 Most Valuable Player.

She finished her LSU career, during her junior season, with 500 career rebounds and just 23 points short of 1,000 career points.

Danielle's teammates remember her as a great leader, pushing them to continuously become better players and to always strive for greatness. She will be missed immensely.
