Hi everyone, Danielle's fiance here. Some of you may not know Danielle so I'll give you a quick run down as to who she is. Danielle is my fiance and a mum of three beautiful children, Amelia 11, Chloe 5 and Harrison 4. In 2021 after a tough lockdown Danielle decided to take on the role as the lead of the household by going to work full-time as I was made redundant during lockdown and my mental health took a huge turn for the worst. She had made the decision to do something completely different and trained in barbering to help children with their haircut anxiety. We found out that our son potentially had autism so this was especially close to her heart and of interest to her (he has since had a diagnosis) Since 2021 she worked in a children's and Sen barbers that unfortunately and suddenly had to close down last year. She knew just how important her job was and how many children and families needed and relied on her. So she took it upon herself, with absolutely 0 finances, just her hair tools, to start up on her own as SENSE-ational Cuts. SENSE-ational cuts has now been up and running for almost a year and has seen the return of so many old faces and has also met so many new ones too.
Danielle has this year had the task of turning people away due to them needing home appointments but due to not driving and the client being too far out, has not been able to offer a home appointment. This has been heartbreaking to watch her have to do this as it makes her incredibly sad because she's the type of person that generally wants to help as and where she can. She goes above and beyond for her clients, friends and family no matter what she goes through personally. She spends so many hours a week travelling to and from work and appointments due to having to wait for buses and she has mentioned to myself that she would love to expand her business by getting a moped in order to offer home appointments and also to expand the area that she can cover. As I'm sure many of you can agree, this would also help yourselves should you need a last minute appointment as she could then offer evenings too.
With the rise in living costs, we as a family have been unable to save for a moped as Danielle refuses to raise her prices in the salon because as she says "if we're struggling, then so is everyone else" so I thought this was our next best option to get her what she needs for the next step in the business. Anything you can contribute would be a great help, let's try to reach the goal so Danielle can reach her goal ❤️
