Danielle Goes to Washington

My name is Danielle Heck and I have been chosen to represent Iowa for the second year in a row to attend Headache on the Hill (HOH), which is held annually. Last year I participated in the advocacy event virtually, but this year's HOH will be a completely in-person event in Washington, D.C. Volunteer advocates come together to present Congress with requests, or “asks.” These “asks” seek to spotlight legislation affecting the migraine and headache community. Attendees include medical providers, researchers, caregivers, and patients. To offset the cost of travel and accommodations to the event, which are the responsibility of advocates, I have created a personal fundraiser. I hope you will consider contributing whatever you can to further this cause that is so important to me and many others who have been affected by migraine and other headache disorders.

Costs of Participating:

Plane ticket from Iowa to D.C.($497), HOH registration ($50), hotel accommodations ($600), and time off work.
