Danielle Hankey Ewing Sarcoma

Danielle Hankey is almost 18 years old and the daughter of the head  nurse (Wendy)  in my office.  She was diagnosed with Ewing Sarcoma of her left elbow in 2019.  She went through over 1 year of hell getting chemotherapy and radiation and surgery.  She responded well for a short time.  It is deeply unfortunate she recently had a recurrence with metastatic disease to her lung. 

During her time of treatment, she and her family have endured physical, emotional and ultimately financial hardship.  That is why I am reaching out.  Hopefully, all of us are fortunate enough during these trying times to have our health and finances in order.   Despite having health insurance, many of the costs are exorbitant and have put the family in a huge hole financially.  Should cancer really financially bankrupt a family?!?!  The emotional and physical aspects aren't enough?

I am setting an ambitious goal of $50,000.00 to help ease the financial burden on the Hankey Family.  Even this does not cover all of their costs.  I look to you, the community, colleagues,  friends and family, to help reach this attainable goal.  Please pass this on to your friends and family as well.  It is with great hope that Danielle again kicks cancer's ass and is able to live a long and fulfilling life.  Thank you all for your support and generosity.  The Hankey's will thank you too.
