This is Danielle Housley

Amazing, selfless, kind, loving, caring and the best daughter and big sister anyone could wish for.

Writing this with a very heavy heart and sorrow. As Danielle (Dani) sadly gained her angel wings on 14th July 2020 at 5:55pm.

Dani was just 26 year’s old. Dani was an amazing daughter to mum Sharron who is a single mum and sole carer to an amazing little girl called Jamie-lee (aged 9).

Dani leaves behind 2 more siblings Matthew and Cameron as well as Jamie-lee.

Jamie-lee suffers from several severe life limiting illness which needs around the clock care.
Jamie-lee needs to undergo a major operation (should have been March) to reconstruct her bladder, repair her lung and straighten her spine. This will also mean that Jamie-Lee will have to go into intensive care after the operation for her body to heal.

Dani and Jamie-lee were like two peas in a pod. They are the best of friends they kept each other going when things got tough. With Dani living at home with her Mum Sharon and Jamie-lee they were each other’s rocks. The three of them were inseparable.

Dani always spoke very highly of Jamie-lee and always did everything she could to help care for her.

Dani was a nurse at Examplar care where she looked after and supported people with disabilities, autism, brain injuries and other complex needs. Dani gained her degree and had her full career ahead of her doing what she loved the most. She will be sadly missed by not only her colleagues but service users alike. She lit up any room and cared for each and every individual like they were her own.

When lockdown happened in March, Dani made the very selfless choice to temporarily move out of her home she shared with her mum and Jamie-lee to protect Jamie-lee’s health so she could carry on being a valuable key worker.

Dani moved out to protect all the vulnerable people around her so she could still give her all to her service users. This was a very selfless act which has now cost poor Dani her life. Dani ignored her own health issue signs, being tired all the time etc and cracked on helping people.

Dani returned home on the 22nd June. When mum Sharon saw Dani she said "you look shocking and you are yellow". An hour or so later the ambulance was called.

Dani was then admitted into hospital as they didn’t know what was wrong with her.
Dani was having lots of different antibiotics, blood transfusions everyday, nil by mouth, scans and x-rays. All this was whilst Covid was around, so she couldn’t see her family. Her Mum, Dad and Jamie-lee couldn’t visit. It was a very hard time for Dani as she was a very family oriented girl who loved to be around people.

On the 5th July Dani was moved into intensive care. She was put on a life support machine. Dani was in a coma.

On the 7th of July Dani’s parents were called and told to prepare for the worst as her organs were failing.

Dani was just not responding to any treatment at all. Her parents had to sit and watch their daughter cruelly disappear right in front of them.

On the 14th July 5:50pm Sharon and Simon had to make the most heartbreaking decision for any parent to ever have to make. They had to decide whether or not to take Dani off life support. Dani sadly passed away at 5:55pm with pneumonia and organ failure.

Dani has made a massive hole in a lot of people’s hearts. Especially her Mum and Jamie-lee as the three of them together were the dream team. Such a lovely, caring and wonderful family.

We have set this up to try and raise funds to give Dani the very best send off that she truly deserves. As Dani was only 26 years old no life insurance was in place and no savings, as no one expects to be burying their daughter.

The financial burden is overwhelming for the Housley’s and any donations will be hugely appreciated, however large or small that may be.

Forward this and share with friends as Dani was very much loved by very many.

Thank you from the bottom of all our hearts and especially the Housley family.

Sleep tight gorgeous girl. You really were one in a million xxx

Wow we have exceeded the original target. Thank you all so much it’s highly appreciated.

Please still donate as the £2500 was a realistic target we aimed for at first. We all don’t have much knowledge on how much funerals cost so we put £2500. After a little research we now know it’s much greater than that. Every single penny is extremely appreciate so very much.
