Can you help a GGR sister in need?

Danielle Romero has been a member of GGR since May of 2017. Wendy Engelberg remembers her 1st ride with her clearly in Sycamore. “She was just starting out riding, but wanted to go as fast as she could on all the descents. She was quiet, but let her riding do the talking. I knew her skills would grow quickly.”

Over the last five years, in addition to growing her skills and racing Enduro and DH on some pretty gnarly courses, she has cheerfully volunteered her time during our GGR women's weekends.

As a nurse, Danielle is skilled at helping others in need. However, Danielle now needs our help. Our petite shredder took a terrible crash Sunday, April 27th. Always striving to go hard and go big, she hurled herself Red Bull style off a drop and discovered belatedly that the reality of the descent was much greater than it had appeared on YouTube. The subsequent impact resulted in a severely broken clavicle, sprained wrist, collapsed lung, and liver damage. Although she somehow managed to walk away and survive a drive to the ER, her injuries will require surgery, and it will be quite some time before she can ride or work again.

In the spirit of supporting our GGR community, we would like to raise some funds to help Danielle with her excess medical bills and rent so that she can focus on recuperating. Our goal is $37,000.00, but every dollar helps.
