Danielle's Medical and Transplant Assistance
Donation protected
Hi, my Name is Denise, and Danielle is my younger twin, my partner in crime, my womb mate!!!! She is a 52 yr old single mother of 4 and grandmother of 2, daughter, sister, aunt, niece, cousin and friend to many. A wisconsin native, she has lived in the Chicago area for approx 15 yrs, and resides in one of its suburbs. She was diagnosed with autoimmune liver disease about 9 months ago when she fell and broke her hip and had to have major surgery to fix that. Like most liver issues, illness is found very late in the game, and this applies to her case. She is now in end stage liver disease and awaiting a transplant (can only get on list for liver when in end stage) if the gift, is so afforded her. Our family prays for it everyday. In the meantime, she has been unable to work the last few months and was very recently granted disability status. Major medical, has been covered for the most part, by insurance, relating to her liver illness, but copays and other out of pocket expenses have not. Transportation to and from her many appointments ( 3 weekly for acites drainage), ability to afford nutritional foods on her strict diet, as well as everything else associated with dealing with a debilitating disease, have not been covered and accumulated quickly. Any funds raised will go to all of this. We are a proud family, and I know as family of faith, pride is frowned upon, but now is the time to set that aside and ask for help where it is needed, and so we thankfully and wholeheartedly appreciate any and all donations. I'd also encourage any who so graciously, may be willing to be a live liver donor to visit the Northwestern Memorial live liver donation website. All info is located in the live liver donation page. And so, this is her story . Thank you, to all who have read it and even if you can not help financially, please share this and her story and pray for her and all who struggle today and everyday!
