Danielle-Shai Dunn’s medical Bills

Hello! I’m Danielle AKA lil Danielle and I’m helping one of my best friends financially cover medical costs for endometrial surgery, possible cancer and recovery. Thank you for being open in sharing with you her story and am grateful for your time.

Danielle-Shai Dunn is a mother of 4 beautiful children and happily married to her highschool sweetheart for over 20yrs.

This past summer of 2022 Danielle started seeking doctors to help find out what was going on with her health. After countless doctors visits, blood work, hospital admissions, scans/ultrasounds , she was referred to Moffit cancer institute in Tampa. There, She consulted with experienced oncologists, concluding in an upcoming extensive 6+hr surgery scheduled for 11/17. They will be performing a full hysterectomy. If necessary , they will also remove any other organs that the tumors are touching, i.e., pancreas, spleen, gallbladder, and parts of the intestines to prevent further surgeries. The oncologist revealed to Danielle that she is quite possibly facing endometrial cancer. Moffitt has graciously decided to cover 65% of the medical costs which leaves the Dunn family responsible for approximately $20,000.

Danielle is a stay at home mom with Their 3yr old daughter,while Freddy works overtime to fight, the monthly and daily bills that are coming in the mail. To the point where he has donated plasma just to make ends, meet.

   If you know Danielle, you know she’s THE FIRST person to help anyone in need. For the past 16 years , the Dunn’s host a drive blessing a family in need during Christmas time who can’t afford to give their children or themselves food clothing and toys. Throughout the rest of the year, Danielle has been the first one to make it possible for women, single moms, children, or families who have recently given birth or just struggling to keep afloat ,to receive the financial/ material items to help make their lives be alittle easier. In addition to this, they have done charity work for drives such as Alzheimer’s patients receiving dolls/ stuffed animals aiding in comforting the anxiety.

In memory of their daughter Natalee who passed away july 3, 2006 from SIDS, The Dunn’s are active donors to St Jude’s hospital with raising non profit money through SID 5K runs 5 years in a row in New Jersey. Devastated, Freddy and Danielle consoled their grief into becoming the leaders of Compassionate Friends Lakeland chapter from 2007-2012. This is a bereavement group for parents who have lost their children. They are currently still a source of grief help for this Chapter, and the surrounding friends they have met throughout the years.

Prior to finding out her recent diagnosis, Danielle also has been actively orchestrating a cancer fundraiser for her best friends son who is battling stage 4 osteosarcoma occurring February 2023

As you can clearly, see, Danielle’s love language is to help others and she does it without hesitation from her heart.
