Daniel's recovery Apollo roof collapse

The news of the Apollo theater roof collapse is all over the news https://youtu.be/z7RGPc44J8.

My friend Tina's son Daniel was right up near the front waiting for the next band to take the stage- when suddenly he was buried in the rubble. Other concert goers helped to dig him out and get him to an open area where he was able to receive medical attention and eventually be loaded into the ambulance.

After several hours in the ER at Rockford hospital he was transported to UW Madison hospital.

He has multiple fractures in his foot/ ankle. L4 burst fracture. Scratches. Scratched cornea. Fortunately no head trauma.

Daniel will heal but it will come with a cost - medical bills, time off of work for both him and mom (Tina)- multiple trips to Madison (they live nearly 2 hours away in Galena, IL) This will make the remaining months of his senior year very difficult not to mention that Daniel just lost his Father (George) on New Year's day.
