Donation protected
Hello, my name is Madlyn Vela and I’m making this on behalf of our father, Daniel Vela Sr.

On August 9th, 2021 we were given the heartbreaking and devastating news that my dad, Daniel Vela, had Stage 4 Pancreatic and Liver Cancer.
He was an incredibly selfless, funny, charismatic, intelligent, and hard-working man. Our dad was the backbone of our family, everyone in the family relied on him in one way or another at some point. He spent his life coaching all of his children’s sports teams, helped with their many science fair projects, paved their interest in playing instruments, and so much more. During his fight all he talked about was going on a fishing trip, going on a family vacation, and finally getting to ring the bell at the Oncology office.
Unfortunately, God had a different plan for him. Daniel Vela Sr., 60, residing in Cypress, TX passed away on November 16th, 2022, after a seventeen month long fight with pancreatic and liver cancer surrounded by family.
I’m making this GoFundMe so that we are able to give Daniel the memorial he deserves, to honor his memory and say our last goodbyes.
In addition, I’m also creating this for my family but mostly our Mother, Margaret Vela. During this fight against cancer she stood along side Daniel. They endured MANY doctors visits, missed days of work, and sleepiness nights together. This money will also be used to help Margaret Vela so that she will be allowed time to morn her life long love without the stress of finances.
Daniel’s obituary can be found here:

The funeral service will be held at BROOKSIDE CYPRESS CREEK, on November 21st, 2022.
Please consider donating if you are able to do so. We are so very grateful for every donation and ask that you continue to pray for us during this difficult time.
With love,
The Vela Family
