Dani’s Brain Surgery

Update: Danis surgery is scheduled for June 21st! A tiny bit about Danis surgery…they’re going to shave a small bit of hair right behind the hairline, make an incision, pull her skin forward, drill into her skull and remove the AVM, place a plate and screws and sew her back up. Dani will be in the hospital for up to 5 days depending on how she heals. She is at risk to grow it back or even grow them in different spots. 

Dani was recently diagnosed with HHT which is a rare hereditary blood disorder. We've been back and forth to Palo Alto since early October for issues with her eyes (which she's now had surgery to correct), which is how we found out about the HHT. They did a full body MRI and found that Dani has an AVM on her brain. They want to do surgery to remove it which is going to put me out of work for I'm not sure how long yet. Anything to put towards gas, hotels, food, etc., would be a huge help and blessing. She has an appointment next month at Stanford for an angiogram and a full brain MRI at which point, the surgery can get scheduled. We have at the very least 3 more trips to Stanford.
