Danko's emergency medical costs

We rescued our little baby boy Danko 2 years ago when he was just 7 weeks old. This week he suddenly fell terribly ill with what we're guessing is a rare immune blood disorder. His platelet count dropped to zero, his red blood cell count plummeted, he was bleeding internally, and he became completely paralyzed in his back legs and tail. We saw almost no warning signs until suddenly his legs didn't work.
Danko has had an MRI, a transfusion, bone marrow treatments, steroids, chemo, a bunch of antibiotics, x-rays, all manner of pain meds and anti inflammatories, tick tests, blood tests, a bunch of other weird tests, anticonvulsants, IV fluids, and I am sure tons of other stuff I didn't catch. He was given a very slim chance of living through all of these treatments and producing the platelets and blood cells again, and an even slimmer chance of regaining movement in his back legs.
Miraculously, his platelets and red blood cells bounced back to normal levels after 3 days of treatment and for now have stabilized. Sadly though, since then he has stopped eating and we fear the paralysis may be spreading to his front legs. Danko has been in the ICU now for 4 days. We are hoping he passes the next hurdle and makes a second miraculous recovery and regains strength in his front legs. And the 3rd hurdle and starts eating and drinking again. In 72 hours his neurologist will re-access his progress and make the decision about whether he may recover enough to have a fulfilling quality of life, or whether to move forward with end of life treatment.
We have spent just over $10,000 so far and we have at least 72 more hours of treatment at roughly $1,200 per day. We expect our Emergency Room bill to be at least $13,000. If he starts improving it will be considerably more. If he makes it through all this paralyzed but otherwise healthy, we will have a long, hard, and even more expensive road ahead of us, but we will gladly cross that bridge if we come to it. We've been borrowing and charging credit cards to pay the deposits on his care, but it is just A LOT of money for us to try and recover from and pay off. Any amount at all we are gifted will be immensely helpful. I really, really hate asking for assistance, but we have gotten in over our heads with this. I just couldn't bear to let Danko go without trying everything possible to save him. He is just so young. And he is our sweet precious baby boy.
