Dankwardt Park Playground Project
Donation protected
The City of Burlington Parks and Recreation Department plans to replace the deteriorating Dankwardt Park playground with a destination playground that is inclusive to all. The new playground will offer unique play values for local residents and visitors to the Southeast Iowa Region. It will be safe, fun, and challenging for all ages and abilities. The playground will be ADA-compliant, with many site amenities; including innovative and accessible play elements and features and rubber surfacing to provide easy access to play. The site will be upgraded to include accessible parking and sidewalk connections, new seating, lighting, bike racks, drinking fountains, and signage. The goal is to create an enjoyable experience for all who visit the Dankwardt Park Playground.
At this time, we are respectfully requesting your support for this exciting project. A financial contribution towards this project will leave a lasting impact on our entire community.
