Danny Christian Fund

We sure could use some of your help!  Here’s Danny’s story:

Over the past few years, Danny started experiencing several health problems including weight loss, spiked blood pressure, & extreme fatigue. This was pretty abnormal for Danny, who is usually full of energy.
This led to a doctor's examination and eventual discovery of an 8.3-inch mass on top of his left kidney.  Surgery was the first step, and was scheduled on October 4, 2016 at Mercy Hospital in Oklahoma City.  The surgeon along with staff respected Danny's strongly held belief that no blood be used before, during or after his surgery (Acts 15:29).  After a lengthy surgery, several staff members doubted he would survive the first few days since his blood count was so dangerously low.  But, with the expert care, along with many prayers, Danny recovered from surgery and went home to further recuperate.

Follow up visits with the doctor confirmed the worst fears of friends and family alike.  The scans showed growth in multiple areas.  It is Stage-4 cancer (small cell carcinoma) and it’s growing fast.

Treatment consists of aggressive chemo 3 days in a row every 3 weeks.  This causes his white blood count to dive so he must receive costly Neulasta injections after each round.  As aggressive as this treatment is, it means two things:  slowing down that growth, and more time with his family who loves and adores him.

The funds that we are asking help with will go to mounting medical bills, doctors' appointments in OKC, and living expenses.  The disability Danny is receiving simply isn't enough to keep up with these growing expenses.
