Our beloved Dad, Husband, Brother and Friend, Danny Healey, passed away on 5th December 2024 at home, surrounded by his loved ones. Danny was diagnosed with glioblastoma (stage 4 brain cancer) in August 2024. It was the most devastating news to Danny and our family, but we came together and supported our wonderful Dad through his determination for more time. Danny received 3 rounds of chemotherapy before given the news that his tumours were growing and multiplying, there ended the chemo fight. Two weeks later, 16 weeks after diagnosis, Danny passed away. This has been truly the worst thing to happen to our family, and a massive piece of our family puzzle will forever be missing. We, however, are grateful to the team at Gloucestershire Oncology department, for their support, advice and guidance through our dad’s fight. As such, if anyone would like to donate to The Big Space Cancer Appeal, we will be collecting donations via gofundme, and will be donating all proceeds to the charity. The appeal is to improve facilities in the hospital, specially the Oncology department, making it a more relaxed space patient can go. The doctors and nurses (specially Claire) were fabulous with Dad, always laughing and joking with him, which put him at ease.
Thank you from the bottom of our hearts. Danny and the family are so very blessed to have such wonderful support around us, and our dad would be proud.
