Danny K. Maston's Cancer Treatment

Donation protected
Hello, my name is Michael Snarr. On behalf of the family, I'd like to take a moment to reach out to those who know Dan to tell his story. Dan has always been the man to take on everyone's problems as an ear, confidant, mentor, and friend. He's been a rock to every one of us in at least some point in our lives when we've been at our lowest and needed guidance. He's been a person we could turn to, even with the smallest of problems, knowing we would have a true friend to confide in. I, myself, have sought out Dan's guidance and come away from our conversation wholly rejuvenated. More than that, Dan became a person to us whom we didn't want to let down at any point. I remember several times in my life when my perceived thoughts of what Dan's opinion would have been swayed me from making the wrong decision.
In our journey to find peace in our own daily lives it’s easy to overlook the things those around us are going through. In the Fall of 2014, Dan was diagnosed with Parkinson’s. This was a battle Dan knew he would fight for the rest of his life. Unlike many people in Dan’s situation, he chose to fight the unfightable. Dan’s journey with Parkinson’s has been fraught with ups and downs as his medication doses continued to rise. Dan spent numerous hours researching his disease and chose to take part in an experimental program. This program led to Dan having brain surgery which placed uncertainty and emotional stress on him and his wife, Crystal. In November of 2016, Dan had a massive heart attack, which caused his heart to stop multiple times. The doctors were sure to inform the family of the true miracle it was that Dan made it through. In August of 2019, Dan went to the hospital with what he thought was a minor hernia. This led to Dan being hospitalized with multiple infections and on the brink of death twice. Now, in September of 2022, Dan has been diagnosed with Cancer in his throat, tonsils, and mouth.
Through Dan’s journey, it’s important to note how much Dan hasn’t changed for all of us. Even with the insurmountable battles that could crush any one of our spirits, Dan has remained a rock for all of us. I’m reaching out, not to beg people to help Dan. I’m reaching out to offer a chance for us to all give back. Worrying about paying for cancer treatments is the last thing Dan needs to be saddled with. I would be honored if even just a few folks would reach out in Dan’s time of need to help lift his burden. Not once has Dan reached out for help – not even this time. I’ve taken the opportunity, on behalf of the family, to reach out to all of you to consider helping Dan now, when he needs it most.
