Danny Mason

Danny was my big brother. Most of you know, he has been sick for several years…beating cancer in 2011 to having chronic health issues like: COPD, heart problem( with him needing a pacemaker), and being on oxygen at all times. A few months ago, Danny was diagnosed again with lung cancer, this time in his right lung. With further scanning they realized it had spread to his brain. He had finished his chemo and radiation for the lung, and they wanted to do radiation on his brain. The month of October, Danny spent most of it in the hospital. He had pneumonia. His Lungs were struggling so hard to work that at one point he had to be intubated. By the grace of God he came out of that ok. By this point he was so weak he felt he should go in skilled nursing to rest, give me a rest, build up his strength. Little did we know, our time was very limited. We always think “tomorrow” well “tomorrow” has come and unfortunately we need help to bury Dan. With his health problems, he was unable to qualify for life insurance. He lived off of social security which made it virtually impossible to save. His children are not able to finance this at this time. I come to all of you…our friends, family, extended family and acquaintances, to ask for help raising the funds for this final gift. All money received will be used toward his funeral service and deposit toward a headstone.

Dan was one of the kindest, sweetest, ornery people ever, but he’d give you anything you needed if he had it. We ask even if you cannot donate, you pray for us. As sick as he has been, we are shocked at the suddenness of it all. If he knew you…..he loved you. Thank you for all the love and support you have shown our family during this time, it doesn’t go unnoticed.
