Danny Meadows

My name is Dalton Tice, and I believe in the power of the internet.

First off I want to say that I have been wanting to do this for a very long time, but I know that Danny is not the type to ask for money. But, sometimes in life circumstances come up and we have to get out of our comfort zone (asking for help). After recent talks with Danny and really getting the inside scoop on how bad his current situation is, I finally asked him if I could create this. To which he reluctantly agreed.

Everyone is quick to say, "There is so much negativity on the internet", or statements like that. But, here is a chance to prove what I know to be true. Which, like anything, can be used for good or bad. The internet is a tool, but it is up to us as individuals/teams to use this tool.

I am asking for donations for an unbelievable friend, father, and most importantly... person. My friend Danny Meadows and I met at VeeCon 2022 by what most people would call chance, but what I believe to have been God's plan. Danny's impact on my life this past year and a half as a mentor/friend has been more than I could've ever asked for.

For those that don't know Danny is a barber from New Zealand who has put in the time, effort, and energy and is blessed with the talent to become one of the best barbers in all of New Zealand. Like all of us... he had a plan, and he executed it to perfection. Owning his own home, opening his own business, and owning his barbershop's real estate. All was looking great for Danny and his family until August 15, 2020.

Danny was the victim of an unbelievably horrific motorcycle accident that almost cost him his life. Since that day Danny has had an uphill battle trying to regain everything. From his home to his barbershop success, and most importantly his health.

Danny is now preparing to go into his 11th in a couple of days, and this will cost him another 6 weeks off of work which he really can't afford to even do. This is going to force Danny to tap into his already thin resources from the previous 10 surgeries which have meant a ton of time off work. His time off work has sadly put a negative dent in the culture of his barbershop. This small business has given him purpose, hope, and the means to not only support his family but also lift others up through acts of kindness and generosity. But, all of that is in jeopardy now. Danny needs funds for everything.

Danny bought the location where his barbershop is located just 2 weeks before his accident. He was only able to purchase the real estate by leveraging his house. The accident was an unforeseen life-altering event that now put Danny's means of survival in danger even outside of his health. Danny has managed to tread water for a little over 3 years now, and the situation has gotten to its lowest point since. Now that Danny had to sell the house to be able to keep the barbershop in business. These funds are going to hopefully flip the script on Danny's recent events and get him back on the path that he was on pre-accident.

I know you may be reading this and thinking to yourself... "$50,000... there is no way they get that much... that is too much to ask for."

You may be right, but what if you're not? I have personally seen much crazier things happen on the internet, so why not this?

I am putting this together because I believe it is possible. I am putting this together because we are capable of so much when we come together. But, most importantly I am putting this together because I believe in how much God can bless this.

Ecclesiastes 4:9-12 (NIV): "Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor: If either of them falls down, one can help the other up. But pity anyone who falls and has no one to help them up. Also, if two lie down together, they will keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves. A cord of three strands is not quickly broken."

No donation is too small, God fed 5,000 people with 5 loaves of bread and 2 fish. What we think is small is unbelievably greater to God... He just wants to see us come together and support our friends in need.

Thank you for even taking the time to read this,

God bless you
