Danny Mott Open Heart Surgery Fund

Hi, my name is Angela and I am raising money to help one of my very best friends with living expenses and medical bills.

Last Saturday, Danny had a blood infection that traveled to his heart and destroyed his heart valves. He underwent emergency open heart surgery. His valves were replaced, but he had a stroke during surgery. Danny remains in the Critical Care Unit. He is a fighter but he has a long road ahead. Danny does not have health insurance and no disability benefits through his employer. He will be unable to go back to work for many months. He has no source of income for his bills and his medical costs are soaring. Anything will help, please keep him in your thoughts. I will post updates of his progress.

***Update 8/25/23. It has been almost a week since the surgery. Danny is still in Critical Care Unit but showing signs of improvement daily. Yesterday they removed his chest tube and pacemaker. Danny is taking small walks and talking more. Super nerdy too, so that is a great sign! Thank you to all who have donated and shared. Danny appreciates you all.

***Update 8/27/23. Danny is doing better everyday! He has been moved from Critical Care to a regular room. He can have visitors now, but he does have a roommate, so please be aware that only 2 at a time. Thank you for all of your support and generosity. Keep sharing!
