Danny has head and neck cancer. He is facing many, many procedures and treatments.
Danny has made a huge impact in his hometown of Hillsborough, NH over the years; from being a small business owner (detailing cars & handyman work) to many years of coaching high school sports, to coaching/President of the men's softball league as well as being a past President of The Son's of the American Legion. Danny is also an amazing husband, and father to all of his children and step children.
In order to proceed with his cancer treatments (both radiation and chemotherapy) he needed to have extensive dental work done; his current insurance would cover only bare minimum....he had nine extractions - nine of them. His tonsils also needed to be surgically trimmed due to inflammation caused by the cancer in order to keep his throat open and functioning.
He will be starting seven weeks of simultaneous chemo and radiation therapy (five days a week) which will likely cause such terribly painful trauma to his throat, that he will not be able to swallow and perhaps have difficulty breathing. He will have a gtube placed to have liquid nutrition pumped into his stomach. It will need to stay through his recovery.
Danny's nine year old son Noah, may need to be homeschooled due to the current health emergency and the high risk of any type of infection that cancer treatment causes. Danny is, as anyone would be, quite anxious about all this and it's effect on his family. Let's keep them all in our prayers.
