Danny while he undergoes Cancer treatment

Hey family/ friends my name is Molly So, Danny, my friend’s husband, and father to 3 beautiful children, recently moved across our country to Texas. Shortly after moving Danny started dealing with a pain in his lower back for a couple months. Last week he noticed blood in his urine, so he decided to go to the dr. They took x-rays ruling out kidney stones, so they figured he must have passed them and that was it. Well, the pain progressively got worse, Tasha (Danny’s wife) encouraged him to go back to the dr. This time they did a CT scan. Within 2 hours his Dr called him and said they found a large mass on his right kidney and was positive it was cancer. Then a kidney specialist called and informed them that this mass is called Renal Cell Carcinoma and needs to be removed ASAP. It is 12cm by 15cm and it’s hard to tell if the tumor has started to grow into the artery that the kidney is attached to. If that is the case, it will require a vascular surgeon in the room as well. Danny has been referred to a World renowned kidney surgeon at UT Southwestern Medical Center in Dallas to take on this challenge. Since this surgeon is a big deal, his schedule has Danny waiting to the end of the week just to have his first consult. Time is of the essence, so we are praying he gets in sooner. Currently the poor guy couldn’t urinate on Monday because blood clots were blocking his bladder. So they went into the emergency room Monday morning, where they admitted him to the local hospital and inserted a catheter to flush out the blood clots in his bladder so he is able to urinate. Now they are waiting to see if they will send him home to wait for his consultation with the surgeon on Thursday, or keep him admitted at this hospital until that time comes. Sending prayers they will see him much sooner as his conditions are rapidly getting worse.
“One thing we know for a fact is that our Creator is bigger than this mass, and He’s bigger than all the scary scans we’re seeing, and He knows the plans He has for Danny. Plans to prosper him and not to harm him. Plans to give him hope and a future. We’d be lying if we said we weren’t scared. This has been a horrible few days. But we are praising God for his miracles and every detail of this that He already has covered! My mom (Tasha’s mom) made a really good point when I talked with her. She said, “Tasha, you moved your family all the way to Texas with no jobs, no support system, just trusting that God was calling you to go there, and now you just happened to be an hour from a world renowned kidney surgeon that Danny just happens to need? That isn’t a mistake! God has you in this exact spot for a reason. He knows exactly what Danny needs and He will provide.” It was a huge reminder that we have to keep our minds focused on the constant blessings we have everyday. “So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.” Isaiah 41:10. And another one I need to repeat daily, "The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases; his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning, great is your faithfulness." (Lamentations 3:22-23) We wanted to share this with everyone because we need our community, near and far, to be praying for us as we navigate this new challenge ahead. We love you all.” -Tasha
Please help my friends fight this battle by donating. They will be faced with many hardships during the next months to come, between extremely high doctor bills, childcare-as they do not live close to family, as well as loss of wages. Each donation will help him focus on getting well and back to living his vibrant life as quickly as possible. Thank you for taking the time to read this, and thank you for your support.
