Hi! I'm Dan!

I'm a Historian and artist currently struggling through a PhD.

I'm also trans. I suffer from dysphoria and depression which hinders my daily life and provokes suidical thoughts. To me, being able to medically transition will be a life saving procedure, not just cosmetic.

Adding to the struggle of existence is never having enough money to pay bills or rent, seeing as student funds only cover enough for my tuition and nothing else. My PhD funding rejected me so I will have to pay out of my own pocket for everything. This will mean my transition will have to take a back row seat because I can't afford it.

I will be beginning my journey to medically transition, but seeing as the NHS likes to ignore trans people I will have to go private, which means money.

I'm hoping to be able to save up to get the processes I need in the future, which would be HRT (roughly £600, and then monthly perscription payments) and top surgery (roughly around £7000, but could be more). And then anything to pay my bills and rent along the way.
