My name is Dana Misenar. I am 30 years old, with a loving fiance and mother of two beautiful daughters!

September 17, 2021 I was diagnosed with a rare form of cancer called angiosarcoma. At the time of this diagnosis I was already stage 4.

Angiosarcoma is a cancer that forms in the lining of blood vessels and lymph vessels. This type of cancer, when found, is usually in older women, over the age of 70 who have already gone though breast cancer and radiation.

1 in a million people have been given this diagnosis. The fact that I was only 28 when I was diagnosed is an even smaller percentage.

This cancer has changed my life being as I had to have a bilateral mastectomy at the age of 28.

I've also had both of my ovaries removed due to the spread of the cancer at the age of 29.

Currently, I am living with cancer residing all throughout my spine, on my sternum and ribs, within my hips and pelvis, in my femurs, in the lining of and in my lungs, in the lining under my skin, and in my liver.

With my diagnosis coming at such a young age, there have been a lot of challenges I've had to overcome and am currently still going though. At the same time, my age has also been and can be my saving grace, because I have a lot of life left to live and I have a lot of hope in my own strength to overcome this cancer. With the vibrancy of life increased with facing my mortality, every day, every moments truly counts.
