Today, October 3, Daranee was born 65 years ago. On days like this, we are reminded of those that have meant so much to us.

Daranee, who we lost earlier this year, is still alive in our hearts and is still a big part of us. To many of us who had the privilege of knowing her well, she was our mentor and advisor and made us better people. She was always focused on the best qualities of others.

In the spring of 2022, we created a scholarship fund under her name - thanks to the generous donations of so many people who knew Daranee well. Since then, the Daranee Perfecto Scholarship Fund has set up a scholarship under the NYU School of Professional Studies, Jonathan M. Tisch Center of Hospitality. This fall semester (2022), a student was awarded a scholarship under Daranee's name.

We hope to provide a scholarship each semester, but we need your help. On this special day, we hope you will remember Daranee and fund this drive to keep the scholarship alive.

One of the great things now is that all donations are tax-deductible as the Charity On Top Foundation, a 501c3 organization, acts as the charitable fiscal sponsor for the Daranee Perfecto Scholarship Fund. You will be provided a document for your generous donation at the same email that you use when you donate.
