Darcie & Family
Donation protected
Darcie is one of the kindest, funniest, and most passionate nurses in the Minneapolis hospital she works at. In mid-September, she had a sudden cardiac arrest (believed to have been caused by COVID-19) while at work in the ER, as well as a second arrest shortly after getting out of surgery. Thanks to the work of her dedicated coworkers, Darcie survived. However, she has had many complications during her recovery, including bone spurs in her jaw from the intubation requiring multiple trips to an oral surgeon, terrible nerve pain from one of the multiple IO lines she received, blood clots, and, most recently, finding out that the defibrillator that was placed is not working and needs to be replaced.
Darcie has been unable to work since mid-September and is now facing an additional extensive recovery period due to this upcoming surgery. Darcie and her family have not been able to catch a break in far too long; her 4-year-old son also recently recovered from a bad case of RSV. Darcie and her family deserve nothing but peace and time to heal after everything they have been through these past couple of months. If you are able, please consider donating to help make sure that Darcie and her family can breathe easy and just focus on spending time together.
