Darin Algee Loving husband and father of 5 killed on I-15

Hello, my name is Mozella Gayfield and

am fundraising for my niece Lasha. Her husband Darin Algee Jr. was killed on the I-15 Thursday August 8th 2024 at around 7:45pm In Las Vegas, Nevada to senseless gun violence. He,his wife and youngest son (5) was on their way home when someone shot at their vehicle. He lost control of the vehicle and crashed into the mediem. Darin was shot multiple times and the wife and son sustained some mild injuries. He was a fighter and was fighting for his life but was pronounded deceased at the hospital. We need answer we do not know who would do such a terrible thing. He and his family moved here earlier this year to have a fresh new start on life due to having some hardship in Dallas, Texas. They wanted to move somewhere closer to family for more help and support with their children and everyday life situations. He was a loving caring hard working husband and father and did everything he could to make sure his family was taken care of. He was not in any street or violent activities what so ever. To know him you would know he was all about making sure his family was alright. He did not deserve this and only being here for such a short amount of time we do not know how or why this has happened but we want and need answers immediately to put some type of understanding to all of this. He leaves behind a wife and 5 children. 3 of his children suffer from autism. This is going to be a long and challenging road for them. The family is asking for the community help. My niece (his wife) family and friends are left heart broken because this is not something that we ever planned on going through and we ask that if anyone with information on this crime please call Las Vegas Metro police Thank you we love and appreciate all the support from anyone that plans to donate to this family as she will be having to rebuild her life over with their 5 children and without the support of her husband.
