Darius Cancer Trial Round 4! Back to NYC

Hello, This is for my son Darius Sphar; he has been fighting Neuroblastoma stage 4 for about eight years of his little life. Dar's life has been a rough road; ever since he was born, he had to stay in the NICU for 14 days because he was on the verge of death. At 2, his mother and I discovered he had Neuroblastoma, an evil and terrible disease that seems to claim many young ones. He has had about nine different types of chemos, if not more, in his little life; he Has had a terrible infection that almost claimed his life after the bone marrow transplant at Pittsburgh Children's hospital. He has been a trooper throughout it all; after his transplant and infection, he spent three years in remission. We thought he was clear and forever going to go about his days as cancer-free. Still, at his scans, three years and six months out, the excellent doctors we have had throughout all this time had to come and report some terrible news that Darius' cancer was back with a vengeance this time. It had grown into his spine and was affecting Darius' walking; we spent many and many nights trying to soothe him because the pain was just too great. So he started chemo yet ago, but this time mostly different ones; after 17 long hard rounds yet again, he went back NED for another three more months and once again, we thought we had it. After three months had gone by, we were told once again that the tumors that we thought were gone and dead had once again raised the ugly head of this disease. He has had another six rounds of chemo and 18 rounds of radiation and is currently starting next week on his fifth immunotherapy. Darius went to MSKCC for the gd2 and gd3 Vaccine that nowhere else in the US seems to have and to no luck, he relapsed again! So now Columbus ohio didnt work out because it didnt kill the tumor!, So back to new york city so they can do proton radiation. We need assistance on Transportation and food, it will take 300 dollars just go from the place we are staying to the proton center! Lyfts in NYC are very expensive. Ty for your donation and God Bless!
