Update - Darla has stopped chemo and Radiation treatment and is healing. August 16th 2023 she will be going in for surgery to reverse some previous treatment surgery complications and to remove the cancer. Darla will be in the hospital for a week. When she comes home she will need after care from a nurse while she's healing from this intense life changing procedure. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers . Again any donations you make make go to Darla's surgery, after care and any care she will need for the rest of her life. Every dollar counts. ❤️

This fundraiser is for Darla, beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Darla was recently diagnosed with cancer, and in keeping with her strong character, she is fighting it. The course of treatments will have her out of work for 4-6 months. She is facing daily chemo, radiation and eventually surgery.

This account was initially against her wishes, as she has always been a proud woman who loves to give to charity, but not receive it. We, her family, are asking you for help, with her blessing. Darla will need help to cover her monthly expenses and cost of treatment the insurance doesn't cover, while she undergoes the treatments and recovers from her future surgeries. As her family, we will help her as best we can, but are not able to financially assist her to the extent she will need.

We as a family are writing this because we desperately want her to be here with us for as long as possible. To be able to enjoy her life and her family, particularly her grandchildren. She so desperately wants to be here to watch them grow up, especially her newest 5 month old granddaughter, whom she promises to keep fighting for so she can take her on her first camping trip. Camping is Darla's favorite activity to do with her beloved family. This past year has brought Darla tragedies and blessings, and through it all she has kept fighting and moving forward.
