Let's Help Darlene Get Back on Her Feet

As many of you know, Darlene had an AVM rupture in February 2019 that caused her to have a stroke and paralysis on her left side and also leaving her with a brain injury that affected the frontal lobe. After many months of trial and error medications one was found that helped her get her injury under control. After 18 months she started having seizures that halted her therapy and the ability to proceed with her therapy to walk. Many tests later, medicine was found to calm her brain and prevent seizures, but she required full time sitters in the event that she had a seizure. Several months ago she started having a different type of seizure that required her doctor to order an EEG. There it was determined that during the AVM she received a second head injury in the back of her brain on the right side, and this injury was causing breakthrough seizures which means they could bypass the medicine. Again she had to increase the medicine that made her very sick until it regulates in her body. With risk of falling, the need for sitters still exists. During these months she has spent $70,000 on sitters alone. She is very grateful that she received money at the beginning of her journey from fundraisers that many friends graciously had for her and the love gifts along the way, but she still has a bumpy road ahead. I am asking her sweet friends to help her get back on her road to recovery without the added stress of money. I feel this is one way we can ease a huge burden.
