Hello Everyone, even though I can not believe I’m saying this… my Mom Darlene, who was the most loving, caring, nurturing soul who is a Mother, Grandmother, and Wife, has passed away September 1st. My Mom had a few health conditions, my Mom was fragile. She was in the hospital because she had a fall while she was walking with her walker, to the car and broke her femur/leg bone. She was taken to the hospital and the doctors told my Mom she had a complete fracture of her femur/leg bone and she would need surgery to fix it. The doctors told my Mom she was high risk for surgery because of her health conditions. The doctors told my Mom without surgery the recovery was very painful and lengthy..and the risks of a lengthy recovery with all her health conditions would put her health at risk of declining due to being bed bound for months. The doctors also told my Mom without surgery she would never walk on her leg again, that her leg would never be normal again. My Mom and us as her Family were left with a decision on whether to take the risk with surgery or to take the risk without surgery. My Mom kept saying she did not want to be stuck in bed she didn’t want to be in a wheelchair or crippled. As scared as my Mom was She said we had to try. We went thru with the surgery and as much as I can’t believe it, my Mom did not make it through the surgery. The doctors said her heart went into cardiac arrest and they could not bring her heart back despite all their efforts. My Mom is gone and I can not grasp the idea of going on in life without my Mom and my Mother not being on this earth anymore. As her family we are beyond devastated and in pain. Despite the pain we are facing with losing our Mom, we are in need of help to figure out our Moms end of life arrangements. This is a devastating time for us her family. Especially my Dad. We are still grieving the loss of our Sister Juanita, my Mom & Dads Daughter, and now we are faced with now losing our Mom. Our Sister passed September 3rd 2021. My Mom passed September 1st, 2023. Please Pray for us her family; her children, grand children, and her Husband/soulmate Miguel. And if you guys can find it in your hearts to help in any way we appreciate it, Thank you everyone.
