Help Darlene Gomes- Home Destroyed by Lahaina Fire

Aloha and thank you for being here.

As you have probably seen- Lahaina, Maui is all over the news with devastating photos and videos of a fire that ripped through our beloved town. My mom, Darlene "Babes" Gomes, was one of hundreds of Lahaina residents who lost their home. Everything she owned, including her business was destroyed in a matter of minutes. This was my childhood home and a place where our family made countless memories. By the grace of God, she made it out, but with just the clothes on her back. We are so grateful that she made it out alive- there are so many others who were not as fortunate and our hearts just go out to all the families who lost someone they love or still have loved ones or pets unaccounted for.

Since we have had an outpouring of people wanting to help, I've decided to organize this page for her. My mom is the most giving and hard-working woman I know and I know its hard for her to ask for help- especially knowing that thousands here in our community are experiencing their own loss. If you know her than you just know.

With God, I know our community will get through this. Lahaina is a special place and truly like no other. The people here are strong and we are all family. We are in this together.

If you are able to help financially, I know she will be forever grateful for any amount given. Money received will go towards food, clothing, temporary shelter and the start of rebuilding her home. If you are unable to give financially, please continue to just pray for Lahaina and everyone here. We love and appreciate you for taking the time.
