Darol Baumgartner Memorial

My sister and I are establishing this Memorial fund on behalf of our Mother, Lois Baumgartner to assist her with the financial impact of my Dad's passing.

My Dad worked manual labor his entire life and ended up losing most of his retirement due to some union rule conflict that occurred when the flour mill he worked at changed ownership from Nabisco to ADM.

Please do not feel obligated to contribute to this fund but any amount, even a small one, will help her enormously.

My Mom is unaware that we have established this account but we will be presenting the funds to her in the next month or so.

I'm including Dad's obituary below:

On February 4, 2023, Darol was called home to the Lord. Darol was the fifth and final child born to his parents Hubert and Lydia in Hewitt, MN. His family moved to Spokane, WA when Darol was in 8th grade. He graduated from West Valley High School in Spokane, WA in 1957. He married Lois Ann Krumland on February 20, 1965 in Spokane, WA and they would have celebrated their 58th anniversary this month.

Darol was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers and two sisters. His is survived by his son Todd (Gina) Baumgartner, daughter Heidi (Bruce) Martin, six grandchildren, Timothy, Brandon, Joshua and Lauren Baumgartner, Cage Patterson, Reese Martin, a large extended family and friends.

Darol was an active member of Gethsemane Lutheran Church for 53 years. Darol retired from Nabisco/ADM in Cheney, WA after 36 years. He enjoyed golf, bowling, fishing, woodworking, gardening, puzzles and singing in the church choir. He had a passion for growing flowers during the winter and keeping his lawn pristine in the summer.
