Darrel and Debbie Neal

A few days ago, Darrel, competed in the World IronMan championships in Australia. Today, Sept 8, they were scheduled to depart for New Zealand to celebrate their anniversary. Instead, they are in the hospital after a horrible car accident with a dump truck. The truck hit Darrel's side of the car, and both had to be removed from the car using the jaws of life.
Debbie has recently been released from the hospital after a severl night stay. She indured 3 broken ribs and a nasty gash on her head. Darrel, however suffered major injuries including braking almost every rib and puncturing both lungs. Darrel will be in the Australian hospital for a long time. Even after he is released from the hospital, we are not sure when he will be well enough to travel home to Texas. Please keep them in your prayers and us too as we feel helpless from afar.
Many have asked how to help. The family has researched some areas that might ease the stress a bit for Debbie so that she can rest and heal herself, as well as care for Darrel through this long journey.

Extended hotel stay: Debbie has moved to a hotel across from the hospital, and will remain there for the several weeks that Darrel will be hospitalized. Room rates est. $3000/month

Shopping expenses/toilettries and other neccessities for the extended trip.
