Darrell & Lanea monthly bills

Hi My name is Stephanie Steuck, I'm the niece to Darrell and Lanea Sheldon. I feel so terrible for them as they are going through a nightmare in there life. My heart breaks for all that Darrell is going through, and for Lanea watching her love of her life going through so much pain.

On 5-12-23 Darrell was diagnosed with kidney cancer. Proactive Darrell got the first chance he could to get in and take care of himself, getting his kidney removed. He underwent surgery and was expected a 1-2 day typical stay and 2-4 week recovery. It turned into a 34 day stay with no recovery date in sight. While removing his kidney they nicked his colon without knowing. Darrell had multiple cat scans while in excruciating pain for several days. He was supposed to be healing, but instead was in more and more pain while still not detecting any issues. They finally realized what happened. Now we have a multitude of issues, and caused a severe infection. This caused a second surgery 7 days later! This required a complete drain and rinse of his GI track and a 3rd of his colon removed! He has been in severe pain and infection the entire time! He was finally released from the hospital on 6-28-23. While still not out of the woods with infections he has lost 32 lbs. Of muscle and fighting to maintain. My aunt Lanea has been by his side tirelessly, while maintaining their home with two kids (Golden Retrievers) work both in office and remotely, and still no end in sight for a return to work for Darrell.

He will need another surgery in three months. This has caused a huge strain financially, physically and emotionally. Darrell would be the first to help anyone with anything! Both are the biggest hearted ❤️ people!! Any help to get them through the next several months they weren't expecting to have to get through like this, is SO much appreciated!
