Darrell Manning

Hi, my name is Cecilia and my brother is Darrell Manning who has suffered a medical emergency recently . Darrell lives on his sailboat and lives a very active life, always has. He left his sailboat to get some ice when he got short of breath and decided to sit and rest, felt better continued on his walk, and then his leg started to hurt really bad so he sat down and called 911 and ambulance came. They rushed him to the hospital. He text me. He said they think I have a blood clot in my left leg. I’m at the hospital I text back and said keep me posted. A few minutes later texted me again said I tore my aorta across my heart and down my thigh. They’re going to fly me to see a specialist, I didn’t know what to say then 30 minutes I had a surgeon calling me telling me all the details and how serious the surgery was, and that my brother was lucky to be alive most people die before they even make it to the hospital the surgeon urged me to come said he’d keep me informed throughout the night about the surgery said it was best I wait to see how the surgery goes before I actually leave the house for the 5 Hour drive to come. the road to recovery has been hard and it’s going to be a long time down. Darrell is under a lot of stress. A lot of bills are piling up. Medication‘s are needed to be bought. We’re asking for help anything five dollars adds up $20 adds up whatever you can give, he’s got a long road to recovery and right now he can’t even take care of himself and I’m doing the best job that I can trying to help him .
