Darrell Merrill

Hello everyone, we are raising money for the Merrill family.

Darrell Merrill passed away suddenly in his home on January 16th, he was loved and respected by many. He will be missed by his family, friends and horse racing community throughout the state and up and down the eastern seaboard. He is survived by wife Bridgette and son Hunter and many more family members.

Darrell loved working and training horses, people would call him a horse whisperer. He was a cook, carpenter, horse trainer/driver and more. He wore his heart on his sleeve and would give the shirt off his back to help anyone in need. Darrell was a well respected, hard working man with integrity. He had knowledge to share and he was always open to learn more. Darrell faced many adversities and hardships throughout his entire life, he always pushed through, and never gave up. He was a kind, genuine man who left us far too soon. His legacy and memory will live on forever.

No formal services will be held at this time. Details for a celebration of life will be posted at a later date. The family looks forward to sharing great memories and an abundance of love for Darrell in the spring. Thank you for your understanding and support in this difficult time.
