Help the Noble family after a tragic skiing accident...
On June 8, 2019, Darrell and his family were at the end of a half day of skiing , when the ground gave way propelling Darrell into a tree. He didn’t have time to react and hit the tree knocking him unconscious.
Darrell was airlifted off the mountain by Flight for Life and sustained life threatening injuries to his head, spine, arm, chest and face. He miraculously survived the accident and had surgeries to his spine, face and arm however he is still struggling to get his health, strength and mobility back. He is on disability, still in a long term care/rehab facility and is still unable to walk and needs to continue to be where he is because he has significant health issues to overcome.
Medical insurance cut off support for his care in October so the family has been paying approx. $20,000 per month out-of-pocket for his care in rehab facilities, physical and occupational therapies and medications since then and can’t continue to do this for much longer. Dorothy needs to work full time and dealing with insurance claims, denials, and appeal processes also consumes her time. As many of you know, they also have three kids as well, one who is a junior in college, one starting her freshman year in college and a junior in high school.
This has been and continues to be a very long arduous road to recovery. Darrell needs medical care and time to heal to get stronger and they will need financial help to make this happen. They’d like to look into alternative medical therapies that may help his spinal cord injury heal and would also like him go back to Craig Hospital for specialized spinal cord injury rehabilitation.
Time is of the essence when it comes to recovering from this level of injury though and if he doesn’t get the medical care, PT and OT he requires his body won’t get the strength, flexibility and mobility it needs for him to lead an independent, fulfilling life. Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated to help with immediate healthcare to get him mobile and independent, continued lifetime medical costs and lawyer fees.
