On Friday, January 27th, Darren Montgomery passed away unexpectedly at the age of 47. He leaves behind two beautiful children, Cash (11) and Fin (3). Darren was a devoted father who was dedicated to providing a loving, supportive, and secure childhood as well as a solid foundation for his children’s future. Despite his efforts, though, Darren’s passing has left some financial challenges awaiting Cash and Fin in the future.
The Darren Montgomery Memorial Fund will help his children overcome these challenges by allowing family and friends to contribute as they can. Donations go directly into dedicated accounts for Cash and Fin’s future needs. Specifically, contributions will be used for the purpose of the children's educational and therapeutic needs and to defray the costs of books, college or technical tuition, and other related costs pertaining to their educational and essential developmental support.
Fin is a special needs child who is already enrolled in support and therapeutic programs, and those therapies will, without question, need to be maintained and built upon. Cash is a promising student whose future higher education opportunities will likely be a challenge and who may also need some therapeutic assistance.
Darren’s sister, Tracy Montgomery Block, is the trustee of this fund, ensuring Cash and Fin benefit directly and appropriately, as needed, from the contributions.
