Darren Gunn Collection

We recently lost a member of the railway family, Darren Gunn was a much loved driver at Derby and sadly passed away recently.

Darren was a universally respected driver, working on the railway since 1988 as a box boy in Ramsgate moving to Toton as a second man and progressing his career to drive the iconic HST. He was known and admired by so many.

Darren was always smiling and enthusiastic and saw the job more as a hobby, he was a true gentleman.

So many of you will have your own great memories of Darren some will have known him for many years others a shorter time; everyone having their own personal moment.

The iron man of the iron road will be greatly missed. By so many.
