Darren in DC: Living Expenses

In July of 2016 Darren Santos went to VA Beach for a short visit with his family and ended up in the hospital fighting Marginal Zone B-cell Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma. He is now back home in DC after finishing his successful treatment, with instructions to continue chemotherapy ("just for good measure") in VA Beach over the next two years.  While he is eager to get back to his "regular life" - he's not quite ready to resume working, but his "regular life's bills" appear to still require payment.  He's hopeful he can work soon, but isn't quite there yet.

If you know Darren, you know he's more comfortable with you calling him a lazy slacker who will scream, "Suckers!" if he gets a penny.  But if you know me, you know I'm worried about his rent, his travel expenses to VA Beach for treatments, food, utilities ... and we ALL know that he is terrible about asking for help. 

But I'm here to ask for him.  Please consider whatever donations you can make -- however large or small,  to help him get back on his feet.  

If each of you gave $1 for every time Darren made you laugh, he could retire to Boca tomorrow.  If he's ever taken photos of you and refused to charge you, posted 75 re-touched photos of your birthday party on FB or put your face on a magazine cover for your party invitation ... consider a donation today as a "thank you" for the time and talent he's generously given to all of us.  And if you'd like him to take some photos of you or your event, family, whatever... you could donate now and then work with him on taking some photos in the future.   

When someone first gets sick we all say, "What can I do to help?" "Do you need anything?"  We couldn't really do anything then.  But we can now.  His family has rallied to support him 100% over these many months.  Please - let's all give Darren some support and help now, so they have one less thing to worry about.
