Darryl and Barbara Hunt

Darryl Hunt has been a fixture in the Lakes Region for over 50 years. He has impacted many lives in our community and beyond; in one way or another. Maybe he built your chimney or patio, held the door for you at Shawnee Peak, or fixed your water service in the Knights Hill Association.

Darryl has recently been diagnosed with Stage 3 Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma and has been unable to work since early September.

He is currently under the watchful care of the staff at Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, Maine, where he had his first chemotherapy treatment this past week.

The initial diagnosis is that his condition is treatable with a positive future, but he has a long road ahead. Darryl and Barbara have multiple business ventures that are deeply affected by Darryl being sidelined. They are getting help from some awesome friends and family with some things, but it's never enough. The Hunt Family has given so much to their Community for many years. Now, they need the Community's help more than ever as they tackle this horrible illness and get a great person back in the game.
