Darryl Bressette (Cool) and Family Gas Explosion

Donation protected
Early today, our brother firefighter Darryl Bressette—better known as Cool— and his son experienced a devastating gas explosion in their family home. While they thankfully survived, their home has suffered extensive damage, and tragically, they did not have insurance to cover the loss.

Cool has been a dedicated firefighter since 1980, serving our community for over 40 years and even leading our department as Fire Chief in the past. He has always answered the call—day or night—working as a pumper operator and first responder, ensuring the safety of others.

Beyond his service as a firefighter, Cool has also been a tireless volunteer, giving his time since the 1990s to host our annual community fireworks show, bringing joy to countless families. He has always put his community first, and now, it’s our turn to support him in his time of need.

We are asking for donations to help Cool and his family begin the difficult journey of rebuilding. Every contribution, no matter the amount, will make a difference in helping them recover from this unexpected tragedy.

If you are unable to donate, please share this fundraiser to help spread the word. Together, we can show Cool the same strength and dedication he has shown us for decades.

Miigwech (Thank you) for your kindness and generosity.
