My name is Tammie Wallace. On March 3, 2023, I underwent a hernia repair procedure. Tragically, during the operation, my small intestines were accidently cut, leading to the formation of a fistula. This severe complication required me to remain in the hospital for the subsequent five months.

During my prolonged hospital stay, my husband, an amputee, faced challenges in managing our household finances. Consequently, we were unable to cover our rent, resulting in the eviction of our family, which includes our three minor children.

To compound our distress, on August 11, 2023, we faced an insurmountable tragedy. My devoted husband of 28 years was involved in a three-vehicle car crash. Preliminary findings indicate that he suffered a heart attack, causing him to collide with two other vehicles. This heart-wrenching incident claimed his life, leaving us in profound sorrow.

Currently my children and I are residing in a hotel. However, due to space and financial constraints, we are being forced to consider separating our children into different accommodations. Making this situation even more dire, the hospital will not discharge me until stable housing for my family has been secured.

In these testing times, we find ourselves without the necessary funds for my husband burial, as we did not possess burial insurance. His preexisting conditions, including stage 5 kidney failure and congestive heart failure, made obtaining such insurance unfeasible.

We humbly appeal to your generosity and compassion. Any contributions you make will be directed towards the burial cost for my beloved husband and securing a safe residence for my children and me.
