Dar's Trek to Protect the Oceans and Forests
For my bar mitzvah project I'm raising funds for two organization that are dedicated to protecting the environment in two places I love: the forests of Stowe, Vermont and the ocean at Santa Monica, California. The organizations are Heal the Bay and Stowe Land Trust.
I will be doing this by hiking in August the northern sections of the Long Trail - from Stowe to the Canadian border - a distance fo 64 miles. Established in 1910, the Long Trail is the oldest long distance hiking trail in America stretching the length of Vermont.
Thanks in advance for your contribution to these causes that means so much to me!
More information about the 2 organizations:

2. Stowe Land Trust: Stowe Land Trust is dedicated to the conservation of scenic, recreational, and productive farm and forest lands for the benefit of the greater Stowe community. Stowe Land Trust has conserved over 4,300 acres of land protecting spectacular viewsheds, extensive trail networks, and the working farms and forests that are important to the Stowe area community.
