Dartmouth Ave House Fire -- Liggans Family Fund

Early in the morning on New Year's Eve 2022, life for the Liggans family changed forever. Around 7:30 am, a house fire broke out inside their home on Dartmouth Ave in Buffalo, NY. Lisa, her daughter Iyanla, and her six small grandchildren ranging from eight months to ten years old, were all inside as the flames engulfed their home. Clarence, the children's grandfather, was working when the tragedy occurred.

Lisa and Iyanla quickly attempted to bring all the children out of the house to safety. While rescuing the eight-month-old, Lisa suffered massive burns and is currently fighting for her life at a local hospital. Unfortunately, five children, aged 4 thru 10, did not survive.

Lisa, Iyanla, and the eight-month-old survived -- but Lisa's road to recovery is long, as she's currently in critical condition.
