Daruieste Apa (Build Wells)

Din pacate, In Romania anului 2024, exista oameni care traiesc fara apa. Batrani neputinciosi, mame cu copii mici, familii cu situatii financiare modeste cara zilnic apa potabila de la distante foarte mari pentru a-si acoperi nevoile casnice.

Apa, un necesar atat de banal pentru noi dar un lux pentru acesti oameni.

Noi suntem un grup de voluntari, romani stabiliti in Marea Britanie. Desi suntem departe de casa pastram Romania in suflet si suntem gata sa sarim in ajutor Romanilor de pretudindeni.

Cu ajutorul vostru dorim sa contruim urgent un numar de 5 fantani pentru oamenii din zona comunei Darabani, Judetul Botosani. Zona este una cu probleme, panza freatica de joasa adancime nefiind de ajuns sa acopere necesarul de apa si de accea trebuie sa sapam puturi de 40-50 de metri, ca sa fim siguri ca fantanile contruite de noi nu o sa sece. Din fonduri proprii si cu ajutorul unor oameni de afaceri generosi am reusit sa contruim o fantana dar mai avem nevoie de suma de 100.000 RON pentru saparea altor 5 puturi. Un metru de fantana ne costa aproximativ 300 de lei si dupa estimarile noastre pentru cele 5 fantani trebuie sa sapam un total de 200-250 de metri adica aproximativ 75.000 RON. Restul banilor ne sunt necesari pentru montarea unor cismele, achizitionarea de hidrofoare si amenajarea locului din jurul fantanilor.

It is hard to imagine that in the year 2024 there are places in Europe where water is a luxury. This is the situation in the north of Romania and we, a group of volunteers, would like to change that. Below is the story of the village, our aim and what we plan to do with the funds. Old and weak people, mothers with small children, families with little means are having to carry water for miles for their everyday needs.

For us, water is something we take for granted while for them it is a luxury.

We are a group of Romanian volunteers living in UK. Even though we are living away from home, we think of Romania and are ready to help those left at home.

With your help we can build urgently 5 wells for the people living around the village of Darabani, Botosani county. The area has challenges as the ground water is very deep and we need to dig around 40-50 meters underground to insure the wells will not dry.

Using our own funds and with the help of generous entrepreneurs we have managed to build one well but we need around 100000 RON in order to build five more wells. A meter of well digging is priced at 300 RON and we estimated that for all five wells we need a total of 200-250 meters meaning approximately 75000 RON. The rest of the funds will be used for setting up of pumps, purchasing of cisterns and arranging the area around the wells.
