Help Darwin get a transplant
Donation protected
Hi all!
My name is Sacha, and Darwin is my dad. When I was in middle school, he had kidney failure due to a childhood injury. Since then, he’s been doing dialysis three times a week, for 9 years. He is the most compassionate, friendly, hardworking man and does everything he can to manage life, including working part time after his dialysis days. He is not one to ask for help in circumstances like this, but as a daughter, I want only the best for him. He is such a stickler for taking his medical care seriously and has never missed a treatment time in the entirety of his time doing dialysis.
Since starting dialysis, he’s been interested in receiving a transplant. However, before he can get a transplant, he needs to have a surgery to fix his injury, which will put him out of work for 2-3 months. After getting this surgery, he can get put on the transplant list to get a kidney. As a dialysis patient, being out of work for that long would put a substantial strain on my parents’ financial wellbeing. With this, I am hoping to raise money to allow him to get the surgery he needs to be able to receive a transplant, so he can begin a “new normal” that does not require dialysis.
Anything you can donate would help tremendously!
