Daryl, our little warrior

Hi, Im Daryl's Godmother and one of Katie's best friends, Little man Daryl was born July 28th 2023 at 6 pounds 1 ounce at 9:01 pm via emergency C-Section. Shortly after his arrival he was placed in NICU at Albany Med. 

Today (August 3rd 2023) his parents were informed that he had to be transported via life flight to Columbia Medical in NYC for open heart surgery at only 5 days old. His mother was able to get down there to be by his side, but the fight isn't going to stop there. 

It is unknown how long Daryl will be down in NYC, but Katie will be by his side the whole time. But she is out of work right now, on maternity leave and recovering from the c-section. His dad, David has to keep traveling back and forth between Upstate NY to Downstate as he has to work and also care for their fur babies. 

I am hoping to help raise money (with permission from Katie & David to share their story) for them for any medical cost not covered by insurance, help with dad's travels back & forth and to help give them relief from the financial stress this has brought onto them, giving them one less thing to worry about. All the money will be going directly to them, I am just managing the fundraiser so they can focus on Daryl. We would be beyond grateful for any help and also for keeping their family in your thoughts.
